How does this Metrogel medication work? What will it do for me?

This (Metrogel) medication is used to treat certain inflamed skin rashes, such as acne and rosacea. Metrogel is believed to work by killing the bacteria that are involved in causing acne. It is not known how Metrogel acts to treat rosacea.
How should I use Metrogel?

Apply and rub Metrogel in a thin film of the topical gel or cream twice daily, morning and evening to entire affected areas after washing.
